When you have younger kids, heading into the city can be pretty overwhelming, especially if you
don’t have a plan. There is simply so much to do, and it can be difficult to find the places that
your family will actually enjoy. If you could use some help, I have you covered! As a Seattle
family photographer, I adore working with parents to create long-lasting memories. Here are
some wonderful things to do in Seattle with kids!
1483 Alaskan Way, Pier 59, Seattle, Washington 98101
Seattle Aquarium offers something legendary for kids of all ages! During your visit, you will get
to meet some of the many animals that make their home in the waters across the world. I
always encourage families to check out Caring Cove, where you can find out what it’s like to be
a professional caregiver for the creatures at the aquarium!
5500 Phinney Ave, Seattle, Washington 98103
If you are looking for more ways for kids to meet animals from all around the world, a trip to the
Woodland Park Zoo is the perfect Seattle option! Across the park, you will see more than 800
animals, including those that have been considered critically endangered. From darling
penguins to majestic tigers, they have a bit of everything.
200 Sue Bird Court N., Seattle, Washington 98109
The Pacific Science Center is always a good spot for the curious kiddos! This space has
exhibits that teach your child all about the everyday magic in the universe. They can learn about
the dinosaurs of eras past or see what lies just beyond our planet. In addition to all the hands-on
exhibits, they have an IMAX theater where you can see some science on the big screen!
85 Pike Street, Seattle, Washington 98101
When you are in Seattle, a visit to Pike Place Market is a total must for kids! They have
countless stalls, eateries, and stores to check out. While you are there, you can listen to live
music or watch as the vendors start the famous fish tossing. After you are done exploring all the shops, you can head outside and see the gum wall or grab some drinks to enjoy while getting the best views of the water!
305 Harrison Street, Seattle, Washington 98109
Seattle Children’s Museum is an amazing spot founded for kids of all ages and all abilities.
Across 14,000 square feet, you are going to find tons of exhibits, from hands-on workshops to
stages ready for your child’s imagination. In addition to their open play, the museum hosts
regular events such as storytimes and summer camps.
305 Harrison Street, Seattle, Washington 98109
While the International Fountain was first installed in 1962 following the World Fair, it has
undergone recent renovations to bring it into the modern age. Now, it’s the perfect place for kids
to splash around on those rare hot days in Seattle. The water is completely recycled and
undergoes three water treatments, making it some of the cleanest water in the city. Your child
will love running across the fountains, while you will adore getting the chance to catch a break!
If you are looking for the best ways to enjoy the city with your family, I think you will love these
things to do in Seattle with kids! Now, you just need a good way to make all those memories
last. That’s where I come in! I am a Seattle family photographer, and I adore working with
