for them! As an Olympia family photographer, I adore working with parents to help them make
each day a little more magical. Here are some fantastic activities for Olympia kids to try out
with your crew!

Hands On Children’s Museum is the perfect spot for the curious Olympia kids. True to its name,
this center gives your child hands-on activities that will ignite their sense of imagination. Indoors,
they can create in the Arts and Parts Studio or save the day in the Emergency exhibit. Outside,
they can go for a short nature hike or dig in the Children’s Garden. This center offers something
for every kid aged 1-10.
500 Adams Street NE, Olympia, Washington 98501
WET Science Center gives your kid a brand new way to learn about the water of Olympia. Short
for Water, Education, and Technology, WET provides children with tons of activities to learn
about the water cycle. It might seem pretty niche, but trust me, your child is going to have an
unforgettable time! They can tap into their engineering skills to construct their own urban water
system, or they can try out different LOTT jobs with computer games. The best part about this
museum? It’s totally free to visit!
700 Capitol Way N., Olympia, Washington 98501
If you are looking for the best way to get kids out of the house during the weekend, you can’t go
wrong with the Olympia Farmers Market! The market is open year-round with different ways to
explore. They bring in regular entertainment such as musicians and performers to liven up the
space. You can visit the different vendors and try out treats while buying some of the freshest
produce from Olympia farmers. It’s the best way to shop local!
217 Thurston Ave, Olympia, Washington 98501

have a picnic overlooking Puget Sound. The park includes a smaller playground, ideal for kids
ages 1-5. You can go for a short stroll and then let your child run off that endless energy for the
